What kind of animal are you?
Multimodal design of a personality quiz to discover what kind of animal you are, via Amazon Alexa.
Objective:
Determine what animal users most likely are, by measuring responses on a series of questions.
Project Brief
Where:
Users will most likely play at home. But may also play in other locations with friends.
Who:
Anyone who would like to play a short simple quiz game to get a fun result.
What:
A "what animal are you?" personality quiz that asks a series of yes/no questions to determine what animal a user is most like.
Why:
To have a playful fun interaction with users that tells them a bit more about their personality.
When:
Using this skill is not limited to a particular time of day. Users will most likely use it during down time though.

I started with a design of a personality quiz for discovering your inner beast. I wanted to use mythical creatures; hence the title, "What Beast Do You Have Lurking Within?"

Personality Quiz Voice Dialogue Task Flow
The task flow of voice dialogue was mapped out to determine any kinks that may occur when interacting with an Alexa device. I wanted to determine length of time it took to utilize the quiz and if it would lose user interest. I kept it short and sweet for that reason. All testing that took place worked smoothly and user's were able to execute the task in a timely manner without getting too board to lose interest right away.
After speaking to numerous Alexa user's I found that few of them would be interested in mythical creatures or inner beasts. They would rather know a simpler idea of what kind of animal they are. So I changed my design to, " What kind of animal are you?"
